New mum thrilled to open not one but two Falkirk High Street businesses

Kayleigh Robb (25) has always wanted to run her own business and now, after working hard and saving, and with support from her joiner partner David McMillan (25), she is just a matter of days away from opening two – a salon and a boutique in The Avenue building in Falkirk High Street.
And the new mum has found a way to pay tribute to her wee eight-month-old daughter Gabriella at the same time.

Hide AdKayleigh, from Shieldhill, said: “I’ve named them the GG Salon, on the lower level, and the GG Boutique, which is upstairs. I’ve always wanted to run my own business from a young age.
"I qualified as a beautician in 2015, but I didn’t really have the steady work I needed so I did some office work. I still kept up the beautician work, for friends and family.”
Then when Kayleigh’s maternity leave for Gabriella ended she realised she did not want to go back to the office and now was the time to realise her dream.
"I used my savings and got the two units in the Avenue and David did a lot of the joinery work. We are ready to open on April 26 – it’s really exciting.”
Kayleigh is still looking for a few more team members – like a nail technician and make-up artist – to join GG Salon and a part-time sales and marketing assistant for GG Boutique.
