As part of phase three of its route out of lockdown the powers that be at Holyrood have declared Wednesday, July 15 as the day when libraries, museums galleries and various other visitor attractions will be able to open back up again after being closed for over three months.
However, Falkirk Community Trust will not be rushing to throw open the doors of its premises.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the trust said: “We are working hard behind the scenes with Falkirk Council to ensure – as we carefully and gradually reopen in line with government advice – our sites are fully prepared to provide a safe environment for staff and customers alike.
“We fully appreciate the patience everyone has shown with the disruption over the past few difficult months, but it is vital we get it right from the outset. The First Minister has confirmed the indicative date of July 15 for Phase 3 of the Scottish Government COVID-19 Routemap – which includes the announcement museums, galleries and libraries can reopen.
“All eight of our libraries fall into this section of the Routemap and have been closed since March 23 in line with government guidance. We are preparing the libraries for opening but we don’t have a date yet due to our wish to ensure the buildings are safe to re-open and all appropriate checks have been completed.
“Our careful and measured approach to reopening takes into account the needs of our community, while customer capacity is reduced to aid social distancing and we understand that time is required to rebuild customer confidence to take part in sport and culture activities in public buildings.”
