Hippfest 2016 premieres Buster's new film ending
Humour, imagination, glamour, drama and style – the films it showcases may have been made a century ago but these qualities are all there in abundance.
“It’s just a joy!” said one interviewee in this year’s trailer for the event, which will feature films from China, the USSR and Germany as well as the UK.

Hide AdFestival director Alison Strauss agreed. At the festival’s official launch, she said: “Everyone who comes along can be part of the glamour and excitement of our truly unique festival – we are looking forward to sharing the joy of silent cinema with all comers.”
HippFest runs at the Hippodrome in Bo’ness from Wednesday, March 16 to Sunday, March 20.
This year promises a special treat for fans of Buster Keaton, who will feature in the premiere of a newly restored film with a recently discovered ending.
And if past years are anything to go by, many of the special events will sell out quickly...so it’s worth booking early.
