Stenhousemuir woman banned from driving after letting disqualified partner get behind wheel

Georgie Anderson (38), 2 Cedar Grove, Stenhousemuir, admitted allowing the man to get behind the wheel on May 13 on various roads in Larbert, namely Main Street, Muirhall Road and Lorne Road.
Falkirk Sheriff Court heard last Thursday how Anderson told police she was aware the man shouldn’t have been driving after the pair were pulled over and checks were carried out.

Hide AdDefence solicitor William McIntyre explained his client suffers from panic attacks and had one on the day in question.
He added: “I can’t explain why it wasn’t mentioned to police.”
Sheriff Derek Livingston was told Anderson was receiving medication for her panic attacks and has a daughter and son.
Anderson was disqualified for eight months and her license was endorsed. She was also ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
