The woman, who did not want to be named, said the car in question, which was ablaze just after 6am yesterday in Lumley Place, Grangemouth, belonged to her son.
She said: “The car has been broken into twice and now this happened. Everyone in the close had to get out, the heat from the fire broke the windows.”

“I’m waiting for the council to get back to me about the windows and waiting for the gas people to come and fix the gas,” said the resident, who added she “wouldn’t know what to say” to whoever set the car ablaze and caused all this damage.
She said she did not know who could have set the car alight or if someone had a grudge against her son.
Another resident stated online this had been the second incident in a week and things were “getting worse”.
