First Minister Nicola Sturgeon had said the actual number of cases was likely higher than figures showed due to incomplete data as a result of a backlog with some test results.
Across Scotland on Tuesday, a further 267 people tested positive for coronavirus and one person who had tested positive died.
A total of 693,038 people have been tested to date, with 670,022 testing negative.
