Police investigating fatal road traffic collision in Falkirk area

A crash involving a car and a motorcycle in a Falkirk area village resulted in a man’s death.

Police are now appealing for information about the incident which happened around just after 1pm on Sunday, September 13 on Roman Road, Plean, following a collision between a white Volkswagen Golf car and a black Suzuki motorcycle.

Emergency services attended and a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries.

The road was closed for around six hours to allow a full crash investigation to take place.

Sergeant David Ross, of Stirling Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends affected. Enquiries are currently ongoing. If you were driving on the road at the time or have witnessed the crash, I would ask that you contact police.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1698 of September 13, 2020."
