Staff in shock as second Larbert depot bus driver dies

Just two days after the funeral of Thomas Rooney, another member of the First family, Robert Fraser – known as Rab – died on Sunday, February 28.
Mr Fraser served with First Bus for 22 years.
Paying tribute, the company described him as a “beloved” colleague.

Hide AdFirst Midland operations director David Phillips said: “One of our drivers, Robert Fraser, sadly passed away on Sunday, February 28. Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
"Rab was a beloved member of the Larbert team who worked with the company for 22 years and he will be sorely missed.”He added: “We are of course, in contact with his family to offer every assistance to his family at this time, as well as offering our full and continued support to all our colleagues in the Larbert Depot, who have now lost two of their colleagues during the last fortnight.
“I would like to pay tribute to the whole team, who continue to work hard, and especially our fantastic staff out there on the frontline who are providing a lifeline to allow our key workers to move about safely in the most difficult of circumstances.”

Hide AdMr Fraser’s death came just two weeks after the depot mourned the passing of Mr Rooney.He died after contracting COVID-19.
