Baby of the week: Bo'ness tot Harley Rae

Mum Lauren Gray, 24, is a store manager while dad Thomas Rae, 24, works in a car parts warehouse. The family live in Bo’ness.

Mum said her pregnancy was fine at first, but she caught Covid and a couple of other infections and closer to her due date there were less movements from Harley.

Mum was induced on Harley’s due date as her movements had reduced and the midwife was struggling to get a good reading of baby’s heart beat. The day her waters broke mum says the start of labour was very long, but once she went to the labour ward it felt so quick and before she knew it Harley was in her arms.

Lauren’s mum and sister had suggested the name Harley and mum and dad both fell in love with the name.

Harley is a happy baby who always wants everyone’s attention and she’s very nosey. Mum says she always has a smile on her face when she’s laughing or screaming.

Harely’s proud grandparents are Lisa and James Gray and Maureen and Robert Rae.

Mum said she would like to thank her mum for being at every midwife appointment and for always being at her side when she had to go to the hospital. She’d like to thank her mum, dad and sisters for their support from the minute she told them she was pregnant and for all the support they have given them from the minute Harley got home. She said they are always by their sides.
