Falkirk area pub customers' behaviour commended as beer gardens reopen

Licensed premises with outdoor space welcomed back drinkers yesterday after lockdown restrictions were loosened as part of the second phase of Scotland’s coronavirus route map.
Police and Falkirk Council licensing and environmental health officers visited a number of venues throughout the area, where customers complied with strict distancing and hygiene rules.

Hide AdSergeant David MacKay, of Falkirk Police Station, said: “I’m glad to report there was a high level of compliance and good engagement with the premises and customers.”
Pubs and restaurants across Scotland should be able to welcome customers indoors from July 15 as part of phase three of the route map.
The announcement is expected to be confirmed on Thursday.
