More than 150 Falkirk nurses call on Government for pay rise

A total of 150 nurses from across Falkirk have directly lobbied their MPs asking for a pay rise, it has been revealed.

They were among more than 1000 in Scotland to put pen to paper ahead of the Chancellor’s spending review.

The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) wants a 12.5% pay rise for nurses.

Across Falkirk’s two constituencies, 193 RCN members have written to their MPs calling for a pay increase in recognition of their work - 121 in Falkirk and .72 in Linlithgow and East Falkirk.
