Coronavirus: ‘No immediate plans’ to close schools says Falkirk Council

A council spokesman said: “We are closely watching all developments across all our services and how this situation will impact how we support communities.
“We have plans in place to run as normal a service as possible however every day we will look at what national guidance from Scottish Govt and NHS is.”
At the moment, all council services are running as normal.

Hide AdThe spokesman added: “We are working on guidance for staff – there is material on our website currently and will be updating this on a daily basis as required.”
The council has also said that it is aware of First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s verbal statement in which she said all overseas school trips will be cancelled.
The council is now waiting for written confirmation and will communicate final details as and when they are received.
